Read articleMINEFOP accreditation, the choice of Bonaberi, five languages, exam preparation and support with paperwork: what the institute covers.

A language institute is not just a room with a whiteboard. In Cameroon, vocational training is a regulated activity, and that regulation is useful information for anyone about to enrol somewhere. Here is what PVT Institut’s accreditation covers, and what it means in practice.
PVT Institut — Polyglot Vocational Training Institute — is recognised by Cameroon’s Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, under order No. 00630/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/CSACD/CBAC of 20 October 2025.
In practice, this means the establishment is registered as a vocational training body, with a verifiable order number. Any candidate is entitled to ask any centre for it — and any serious centre provides it without hesitation.
We set out in another article the criteria to check before choosing a language centre in Douala, accreditation among them.
Most of Douala’s language centres are based in Akwa, Bonanjo or Bonamoussadi. For people living on the Bonaberi side, attending evening classes several times a week means crossing the Wouri bridge at peak hours — an obstacle that explains a great many drop-outs.
PVT Institut set up where its learners are: in Rails-Bonaberi, in the Krystal Computer Building, opposite the Hôtel du Rail and next to INSET College, about ten metres from the railway tracks.
This is not a logistical detail: regularity is the single biggest factor in language success, and regularity depends directly on accessibility.
The institute teaches English, French, German, Italian and Chinese, from beginner to advanced level, with programmes structured around the standard reference levels.
Bringing five languages together in one place has a practical consequence: a learner whose plans change — from a Canadian project to a German one, say — does not have to start again elsewhere. Levels and fees are set out on the page language courses.
The institute prepares candidates, in an intensive format usually run over one month, for the main certifications: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and TSE for English; TCF-SO, DELF/DALF, TEF, TEFA, TFI, DIL and DEL for French; Goethe, TestDaF, TELC, ECL and ZERTIFIKAT for German; CILS, PLIDA, CELI, CERT.IT and DITALS for Italian; and the HSK for Chinese.
Preparation differs from a general course: it focuses on the real format of the test, time management and the marking criteria. See the page examens internationaux.
Day courses, evening courses, holiday courses and online follow-up: these formats exist for a simple reason already mentioned — a course you cannot attend is worth nothing.
Les stages de vacances are aimed specifically at children and teenagers aged 7 to 15, in French and English, during the school holidays.

Learning a language is rarely an end in itself: it is usually one step in a larger plan. The institute also supports what comes next — translation of administrative, academic and professional documents, help with visa applications to Germany, Italy, Canada, China and Dubai, and arranging the departure.
Handling these steps in one place has a concrete benefit: the language level required by the destination country is dealt with at the same time as the application, which avoids inconsistencies between documents. See traduction et visa.

For any question about a level, a format or a fee, the quickest route is a WhatsApp message: an adviser will reply and point you to the right level. You can also visit the page about ou write to us.
